For car collector Andrea Crespi, every vehicle tells a story. It’s not just about performance or aesthetics - it’s about emotion, passion, and preserving automotive heritage. That’s why, for him, a car cover isn’t just a cover; it’s a dress, a luxury garment designed to complement and protect something truly special.
“I decided to dress my car because if you care for something, you want to protect it,” Andrea explains. “When you look at these cars - the shape, the emotion, the beauty - you don’t want to lose it. If you cover your car, you hide that beauty. But with Goodwool, you dress it. And somehow, it’s as emotional as when you look at it without the cover.”
A Collector’s Passion
Andrea’s collection includes some of Porsche’s most celebrated models, from the classic 964 to the high-performance 911 GT3 and GT3 RS. But one car, in particular, holds deep personal significance - the Porsche 964 Carrera 2, a gift he gave himself for his 50th birthday.
“Behind me is one of my dreams,” he says. “Nobody wanted to do it, so I did it myself. During the Covid era, we started searching for the right Porsche 964 Carrera 2, and once we found it, the project began. We call it Oakgrün 50 Jahre because it marked my 50th year.”
Restoring and modifying the 964 was a labor of love. Working alongside the team at Autoofficina ACR, Andrea ensured the car retained its original design while optimizing performance to match his driving style. The suspension, engine, brakes, and tires were carefully selected and upgraded. Even the interior was refined - subtle yet purposeful modifications that preserved the soul of the car while enhancing the driving experience.
A Dress for a Masterpiece
When the car was finally complete, one final detail remained: protection. “Of course, when the car was ready, we needed a dress,” Andrea says. “We developed the Goodwool cover for the 964, matching the color of the body, because that’s how crazy I am about design. Things should be done right.”
For Andrea, these tailor-made car covers go beyond function. They are an extension of the vehicle itself - crafted with the same care, precision, and appreciation for design.
Living the Dream
Andrea’s philosophy on cars is simple: cherish what you have. “My dream cars are the cars I have,” he says. “What I’ll want tomorrow, I don’t know. But today, I am in love with the cars I drive. They hold memories, experiences, and stories that make them irreplaceable.”
For collectors like Andrea Crespi, a car isn’t just a machine - it’s a piece of art, a passion, a journey. And when you own something extraordinary, you dress it accordingly.
